I have experience very similar behaviour and I never acted homeless. I would agree that we really need to understand what love is and employ that love even to those that we do not know.

The Steepek story is false. Valuable lesson, sure, but untrue. The picture that usually accompanies this urban legend was stolen from a photographer in England, Brad Gerrard. http://www.flickr.com/photos/bradgerrard/6181194702/
The unfortunate thing is that spreading lies like this weakens the witness of those who mean well. I’d encourage people to live this story, but not to lie or steal in encouraging others to do so.
Thanks for pointing out the truth of this story. You are correct to say the meaning is well even while we should not use lies to presents the truth. Thank you.
Preacher Carter , just so you know. I’ve been made aware that the alleged picture is from flickr of a real homeless man in England . I do not know if the story itself is true or not . If you have sny way to confirm it’s verasity please let me know . True or not it is wonderful storytelling but we at youviewed endeavor to desl in facts whenever possible . Thankd again . johngalt
Thank you for filling in what another blogger has indicated. The picture, I am learning is real, but the story is false.
this is an urban legend, been around for more than 10 years. Nice lesson but can it really be, when it’s made up and passed off as an actual truth? I don’t think so. There is no Pastor Steepek.
I just learned of this story and am glad you and others have pointed out that this is not a true story. I fell for the lie. Thanks.
Not a true story. Find out where he is a pastor. The only place you will find Pastor Jeremiah Steepek is in regards to this story.
Thanks for further confirming this untruth. I should have researched before I reblogged.
